The iMac features a 24-inch 4.5K Retina display (4480×2520 pixels), Apple’s True Tone color balance, P3 wide color gamut, 500 nits of brightness, and a low-reflectivity coating. The company says that its 24-inch display fits into a lighter-than-larger frame than the earlier 21.5-inch model. This (AIO) PC from Apple is more compact and as thin as 11.5mm only.
Apple says that its M1 chip and its ARM-based design reduce the size of the on-chip logic board in the system and the device needs a smaller thermal system. Apart from this, it also has a studio quality 3-mic array with beamforming tech. There is also a Dolby Atmos certified 6 speaker system with force canceling woofers and high performance tweeters.
It has options for connectivity. New iMac users can choose from four USB Type-C ports. Two of these can be Thunderbolt. AIO supports 6K display. The second keyboard follows the same design but also has wireless Touch ID. And finally, the third new model follows the same design but also has a numpad. The new color matching versions of the Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad have also been improved.
In terms of specifications, the 24-inch base model comes with 16GB of unified memory. It has 1 TB of SSD storage, Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Bluetooth v5 and two Thunderbolt/ or USB 4 ports. While its high-end model has SSD storage up to 2 TB and three USB ports are given separately.
