BSNL launches free 10mbps broadband plan

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has decided to provide free internet to its landline customers to help them work from home easily. For this, the company has released a new promotional broadband plan called “Work @ Home”. The main objective of the new move is to encourage customers to work from home in order to contain the coronavirus outbreak in India. All BSNL landline customers will get free 10Mbps download speed with a cap of 5GB per day in this plan. The promotional plan is applicable across all regions of the country including the Andaman and Nicobar circle. It also gives a free email id access along with 1 GB storage space.

BSNL ‘Work @ Home’ broadband plan will get 5 GB data per day. Even after this much data is over, users can do unlimited downloading. However, the speed will be reduced from 10 Mbps to 1 Mbps. The new plan does not have any monthly charges and is available without any security deposit.

This plan of BSNL has been issued exclusively for landline customers only, so if you do not have a landline connection of the company, then you will not get its benefit. Certainly this plan will help the company to increase its new landline connections.

There is no download and upload limit in BSNL Work @ Home plan. There is no installation charge for getting broadband access on landline connection. Apart from this, voice calls for customers availing the new plan will be applicable as per their existing landline plan.

BSNL is offering Work @ Home plan for one month from the date of activation. This plan is available for existing BSNL landline customers, but new customers can opt for this promotional plan after activating any of the regular landline plans by the telecom operator.

BSNL landline customers need to dial the toll-free number 1800-345-1504 to subscribe to the new scheme.
