New Delhi. Ola Electric today formally announced its entry into Nepal. The Chennai-based EV maker has now joined India-based electric two-wheeler manufacturers who export their products to other countries as well. This was announced today by Bhavish Aggarwal, Founder and CEO, Ola Electric.

Bhavish Aggarwal said that Ola Electric will soon launch its S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters in the neighboring country, Nepal is the first country to get Ola scooters after the EV maker launched both the EVs in August last year.

Know when scooters will be launched in Nepal
Aggarwal said on Twitter, “India has liked the Ola S1 scooters a lot. Now we are taking it to the global level. By 2022, Nepalese consumers will be able to buy scooters. Agarwal said that Ola Electric also intends to export its electric scooters to Latin America (LATAM), Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and other countries of the European Union (EU).

The company will open a physical showroom
Ola Electric is soon going to start a physical showroom in India for the first time. Moving on from online buying facility, the EV maker is planning to come up with around 200 experience centers across the country by March next year. So far 20 experience centers have already been opened in the country.

Scooters will charge in 80 minutes
Ola Electric may also announce its HyperCharger network in the next few weeks. Ola had earlier revealed its plans to set up its EV infrastructure through fast charging stations. The EV maker started installing these chargers for its electric scooters from December last year. These EV chargers can recharge an electric scooter up to 50 percent in just 80 minutes.
