Tesla CEO Elon Musk has reportedly sold a major portion of the company’s stock. The Wall Street Journal’s Report According to, Elon Musk has sold 6.9 million shares of Tesla i.e. about 7 million shares. Musk was Tesla’s largest shareholder, but now holds only 15 percent of the company’s shares. Musk’s deal with Twitter is still in limbo.
According to the report, Musk sold these shares between last Friday and Tuesday. The ongoing dispute between Musk and the micro-blogging site Twitter regarding the deal has attracted the attention of a large number of people. It has blamed Musk for the loss Twitter has suffered in the second quarter of the year.
This is not the first time that Musk has sold Tesla shares. In the past 10 months, billionaire Musk has sold $32 billion worth of shares in EV maker Tesla. Musk sold $8.5 billion of the company’s shares in April to finance the deal with Twitter. Prior to the latest share sale, Musk had said that he would no longer sell Tesla shares.
Ever since Musk put the deal on hold, there has been tension between the social media site Twitter and Musk. Twitter has a loss in the second quarter of 2022. Twitter has blamed Musk for this financial loss. Musk currently holds 9% of Twitter’s shares.
