Newspaper ‘The Verge’ The software will first scan for unique words used in posts and comments on Facebook, and then determine whether those words have a specific meaning among that group of people, reports The Wire.
According to the patent application, The software will track users’ continued use of specific words for certain properties such as language and location. Once the software determines these words with meaning, it will add them to the vocabulary.
If a word is less popular, it will be removed from the vocabulary. Words will be added to the dictionary based on the users’ choices.
In the patent application, the company has also said that users will also be given the facility to add, delete and compile words. However, at present this dictionary is only a plan.
