Russian billionaire and founder Yuri Miller organized a screening of Ramanujan’s biopic ‘The Man Who Knew Infinity’. These biopics have been made by director Matthew Brown. According to a source close to the film’s unit, many of America’s richest people turned up for the screening held in Silicon Valley.
Sundar Pichai (CEO- Google), Sergey Brin (Founder- Google), Mark Zuckerberg (Founder- Facebook), Brendan Irib (CEO- Oculus VR) and 50 other people from Silicon Valley, told news agency IANS. Miller arrived at the screening in Los Altos. Yuri organized a very private screening and dinner for the film. Tears welled up in his eyes during the screening. ,
Zuckerberg and Pichai, among others, who watched the film on the Indian mathematician. The film traces his journey from his village in Tamil Nadu to his rise to fame in England. These people will come together to form a foundation in the name of Ramanujan.
In the film, actor Dev Patel plays a 25-year-old shipping clerk and mathematician in 1913.
However, Ramanujan had no formal training in pure mathematics. But he made extraordinary contributions to mathematical analysis, number theory, infinite series, and fractions. He died in 1920 at the age of 32.
The Man Who Knew Infinity also stars Jeremy Irons, Devika Bhise, Stephen Fry, Toby Jones and Arundhati Nag in pivotal roles. The film will release in India on Friday.
