iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max price in India
The strength of the US dollar has resulted in Apple’s new Pro phones being more expensive in India than their predecessors. While there has not been much difference in their price in America. iPhone 14 Pro The price starts at Rs 1 lakh 29 thousand 900 for the 128GB variant. The iPhone 14 Pro with 256GB variant comes for Rs 1 lakh 39 thousand 900. The 512GB variant comes for Rs 1 lakh 59 thousand 900 and the 1TB variant comes for Rs 1 lakh 79 thousand 900. larger models iPhone 14 Pro Max If we go towards it, its cost is 10 thousand rupees more at every level. In this way, the price of 128GB, 256GB, 512 GB and 1TB variants of iPhone 14 Pro Max is Rs 1,39,900, Rs 1,49,900, Rs 1,69,900 and Rs 1,89,900 respectively. It is still unclear why the difference between the prices of the iPhone and the iPhone Pro is so large in India as compared to other markets. Apple should use the same multiplier for its products, but it doesn’t.
The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have been officially discontinued, but should be available at discounted prices through third-party retailers for the time being.
iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max “Dynamic Island”
So, the rumors about the Apple iPhone 14 series so far have turned out to be true. But what was revealed was only a small part of the whole story. Here it is a reminder that we should not jump to anything just on the basis of leaks. Also, it is also seen here how technology can surprise us. I think Apple is thrilled to know how it can surprise people. And as a spokesperson said, it’s Apple’s special dedication to designing the hardware and software that makes things this way possible.
In the many leaks and renders that came in the last few months, it was clear that Apple is now going to switch to a pill and hole camera cutout design. It seemed odd enough, but it wasn’t too hard to imagine that Apple was just trying to do something different. This is the same company that gave us the idea of the notch, tried unsuccessfully to introduce the Touch Bar, and once convinced itself that a button-less, screen-less iPod was a good idea.
The latest leaks were largely going in the right direction ahead of the phone’s unveiling. The cutout given on the top in the front has an empty space between the pill and the hole. But it is not visible to the users because this hole has been expanded with the help of software, so that you can see a black patch. It is integrated with the user interface, which provides notifications and status indicators, and is also interactive. Apple has worked in a variety of animations and transitions to make this strange looking patch very useful.
I’m glad full screen video won’t play around these two holes. I would have had trouble with even a hole here. I’m excited to see how Apple uses its hardware and software prowess to make this a useful UI element. The active display area expands into a popup notification popup when needed, otherwise it continues to display things like small album art work while music is playing, charging or payment indicator etc. Apps can use this area to display ongoing activity. You can see two activities going on at the same time – the second activity is shown in a small circular bubble on the right side of the island. Here I agree with Apple, which turns out to be the actual pill and hole arrangement as stated by the leakers.

Overall, it’s undoubtedly a good improvement over the notch, and makes the premium iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max a fresh-feeling device. It is distracting while watching full screen videos but we have to get used to it for now. In short, the camera seems to obstruct the display area. No part of the island is a dead zone for touch, meaning that the island doesn’t obstruct swiping and touch does its job no matter where your finger is moving on the island.
Design of iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max
This year Apple has used deep purple color as the signature color which is quite deep. The color is quite dark and de-saturated which makes it look gray with slight undertones. Space Black, Silver and Gold colors are available in other options. The frames of both the smartphones are made of polished stainless steel. The iPhone 14 Pro weighs 206 grams, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max is much heavier, weighing 240 grams.
If you look at the shape and proportion of the phone, not much has changed since the iPhone 12 Pro series. The phone has a flat back and frames all around – the MagSafe accessory ecosystem forces Apple to be a bit constrained here. The camera module given in the rear has become a bit bigger, so the back cover of last year’s phone will not work here. If you’re in the US, you’ll notice that the phone is missing a SIM tray – it’s a goal Apple is working on, but it has its drawbacks, and India has been left out for now.

A lightning port has been given at the bottom. Rumors say that from next year Apple will move to USB Type-C. In many countries this will be required by law, but having it anyway is worth a lot.
iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max display and specifications
Dynamic Island is exclusively given to Pro handsets as the company can take advantage of the price for the display technology it has. The Super Retina XDR display is now slightly bigger and the borders are thinner. Apple claims a peak brightness of 1600 nits for HDR and the panels are rated to deliver up to 2000 nits of brightness outdoors. The refresh rate can go down to 1Hz to save power.
Always on display has been given for the first time in iPhones and this is a big change. It is delivered in Apple’s own fashion with a distinctive visual style adopted for it. Instead of showing simple graphics or plain text on a black background like on Android phones, it’s just like your iPhone’s lockscreen, but in a much dimmer way. With the help of machine learning, the brightness is reduced according to the wallpaper image but the details remain. Lockscreen widgets are also constantly visible.

Apple claims 29 hours of battery life with the iPhone 14 Pro Max and 23 hours with the iPhone 14 Pro. The new A16 Bionic SoC has been given with the improvement. It has 16 billion transistors and is made using the 4nm manufacturing process. The company boasts the highest power and efficiency in the industry with 6 CPU cores, 5 GPU cores, 16 Neural Engine cores and many other subsystems.
Cameras of iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max
Improvements have also been made in the camera department. The primary camera is 48 megapixels and for the first time quad pixel binning has been used. Apple has claimed that the sensor in the new iPhone is 65 percent larger than the iPhone 13 Pro. In most cases, the camera is optimized to capture light, in which four pixels combine to form one, which clicks a 12-megapixel photo. Low-light quality is also said to be 2 times better. Subjects will remain in sharp focus even in blurred motion backgrounds, it is said. On the other hand, you can also optimize pixels individually, providing more creative options for shooting and editing. The company has also given a new 2X zoom option which can crop a 48MP image to a 12MP high detail image. 48 megapixel ProRAW photos can also be taken from the phone. Action Mode is a new option in the video feature, which crops the video and gives it such stability as if it was shot with a gimbal.
The phone sports a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera with more focus pixels for macro photos and better low-light shots can be captured. Autofocus has been given for the first time in the front camera and f / 1.9 aperture has been used for better low light shots. The 9-LED flash at the back is adaptive with intelligent pattern and intensity adjustment features. We will see how it all works during the review.
Other new features include crash detection and satellite-based emergency messaging (US and Canada only for now). iOS 16 has been given in iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max which has some new capabilities.
The new Pro phones look fresh enough to inspire people to upgrade. This time the difference between them and their non Pro version handsets is the biggest ever. However, their high prices will keep them out of reach for many buyers. Be sure to check out Gadgets 360’s full review, coming soon, to decide whether you should go for the upgrade.
