Jio Fixed Voice Landline Service Launched for GigaFiber Preview Users

Reliance Jio was testing to offer free landline service to Jio GigaFiber customers in April. It appears that Jio has now started rolling out the landline service for customers registered under the Jio GigaFiber preview program. The Jio landline service has been named JioFixedVoice and select users can activate the service using their registered mobile number. Gadgets 360 has confirmed that select users have started seeing geofixed voice invitation notifications in the MyJio app. But it is not clear whether this is a mass rollout that has been rolled out in batches or it has been released to select users.

Remember that Reliance Jio for Jio GigaFiber Triple Play Plan Testing was started. Under this plan, unlimited voice and data up to 100 GB, access to Jio Home TV and complimentary subscription to Jio apps were being given.

Jio then provided landline service to select GigaFiber users that use the company’s GigaHub home gateway. It is said that in order to avail Jio fixed voice landline service, the subscribers will have to arrange for telephone equipment.

In the initial phase, users who have paid a fee of Rs 4,500 for the GigaFiber service can also get an optical network terminal and now these users are also getting a chance to try the fixed voice landline service. Any users Rs 2,500 security deposit Has submitted that he has got only single band router and he is not eligible for Jio fixed voice trial.
