Jio Phone users will get free 100 calling minutes and SMS

Jio Phone users are getting 100 minutes of voice calls and 100 SMS messages for free till April 17. Reliance Jio has given this information. Apart from this, the company has also announced that all Jio Phone users will continue to receive uninterrupted incoming calls even after the expiry of the validity available on their account. Like other non-governmental companies, Jio has also taken this step to help its users during the coronavirus outbreak in India. If you live in India, then you must know that the lockdown has been done in India till 14th April, under which people have been advised not to leave their homes. Recently Airtel, Vodafone Idea and BSNL also announced extension of validity for their prepaid customers.

According to the company, Jio Phone users will be given 100 minutes and 100 SMS for making voice calls and messaging anywhere in the country at no cost, respectively, till April 17. Apart from this, all Jio Phone users will continue to receive incoming calls even after the validity is over.

This decision has been taken to help Jio Phone users in this difficult time. However, the telecom giant is yet to announce any such benefits for its regular Jio customers.

Recently Jio launched ‘Recharge at ATM’ service to allow regular users to recharge their account directly from the nearest ATM. Customers can also recharge through digital channels such as the MyJio app or Jio.com website or through recharge platforms such as Google Pay, PhonePe and Paytm. Apart from this, the company is also providing the facility of recharging through an SMS on Axis Bank and ICICI Bank.

Axis Bank customers can recharge by sending – Mobile number 10-digit mobile number Jio recharge amount last six digits of their bank account to 9717000002 or 5676782. Similarly, ICICI Bank customers can recharge by sending – MTOPUP Jio 10 digit mobile number recharge amount last six digits of bank account to 9222208888.

Airtel, like Jio, also recently announced a validity extension for its over 80 million “low-income” prepaid users till April 17 and has given them Rs 10 talk time balance.

Vodafone Idea has also come up with a validity extension offer for its over 100 million prepaid users with feature phones till April 17, giving them Rs 10 talk time.

BSNL also announced extension of mobile validity till 20th April and has given talk time of Rs 10 as incentive to the customers.
