XDA’s Report It is said that Jio has partnered with Chinese company Bluebank Communication Technology (Bluebank Communication Technology) to make JioBook. This company is already in its factories making JioPhone Is.
XDA Developers says it has gathered information from internal documents that JioBook has been in development since early September last year and plans to launch by the first half of 2021. The product validation test of this device is expected to start by the middle of next month. An image of the JioBook prototype has also been shared, giving us a glimpse of its design.
The leaked image shows the laptop with Windows, but the device is not expected to run on Windows, so it could be that the final product design of the JioBook might be slightly different.

Coming to the specifications, a report by XDA Developers suggests that the current prototype of the JioBook will include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset and Snapdragon X12 4G modem with a display with a resolution of 1,366×768 pixels. The laptop has been tested in several variants and one of these models has 2GB LPDDR4x RAM and 32GB eMMC storage. There’s also another model, which is said to include 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.
JioBook could include features like a mini HDMI connector, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It is also said to be equipped with a three-axis accelerometer and Qualcomm audio chip.
Jio can also include its native apps such as JioStore, JioMeet and JioPages in this laptop. In addition, it will reportedly also include Microsoft products such as Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Edge and Office.
At present, no information has been shared regarding the price and availability of JioBook. However, the laptop is expected to be available under the budget segment later this year.
