The Bolero Neo SUV was introduced especially for the young customers. It is powered by mHAWK100 engine that delivers more power and torque with connectivity features for everyday use. It is a good option to drive in the city as well as on the highway. Apart from Bolero Neo, its classic variant is also being liked by the customers. Its sales have grown by over 28 per cent in the last financial year. It has a seating capacity of seven people. Veejay Nakra, President (Automotive Sector), Mahindra and Mahindra, said, “With over 14 lakh units sold, the Bolero is more than just an SUV. It is very popular in semi-urban and rural areas.” Bolero SUV is also used in many government departments.
Earlier this year, the company launched the electric SUV XUV400. Customers are also liking it a lot. The bookings for the Mahindra XUV400 began on 26 January. It got 10,000 bookings within four days. Mahindra plans to launch some new electric vehicles soon. The company competes with Tata Motors in this market. Tata Motors has the largest market share in this segment. This is Mahindra’s first fully electric SUV. It is available in two variants. It has been launched in five colors – Arcing Blue, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Nepali Black and Infinity Blue.
The company claims that the XUV400 has the fastest acceleration capability in the non-luxury segment. Mahindra says that it can reach 0-100 kmph in just 8.3 seconds. Its top speed is 150 kmph. It has three driving modes, Fun Fast and Fearless.
