The new Maruti Alto will be positioned above the Alto 800 and if media reports are to be believed, its expected price could start from Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The car will be offered in a total of 12 variants, out of which 8 will be equipped with a manual transmission option, including STD, STD(O), LXI, LXI(O), VXI, VXI(O), VXI+ and VXI+(O) . Also, 4 variants will come with automatic transmission, including VXI, VXI(O), VXI+ and VXI+(O).
A CNG variant of the Alto K10 can also be introduced by Maruti Suzuki, as Maruti has been offering in most of its cars. The car will be offered in Solid White, Granite Grey, Silky White, Sizzling Red, Speedy Blue and Earth Gold color options.

TOI’s AccordingThe car is expected to power the next-gen Alto’s 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder NA petrol engine, which will be capable of producing 65.7 bhp power and 89 Nm of peak torque. A 5-speed manual transmission and an AMT will be offered. Furthermore, it is also reported that the new Alto K10 will be bigger than the current model. Its length is said to be 3,530mm, width 1,490mm, height 1,520mm and wheelbase 2,380mm.
Talking about the interiors, the new Alto K10 is reportedly expected to get a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It could also include a digital instrument cluster, dual front airbags, reverse parking sensors and ABS with EBD.
