This smartphone definitely looks better than the previous plastic phones from Moto. These include G and X series smartphones but moto m The design of the smartphone looks similar to other smartphones, especially from the HTC One range of smartphones. The phone is curved in many places but the special thing is that it does not slip from the hand. The Moto M is just 7.85mm thin and feels comfortable to hold with one hand. Overall the build quality of the phone is good. To protect against water, the phone comes with ‘Nano Coating’ so that it will not be harmed in case of any kind of liquid spill. But the company has not promoted this phone as waterproof.
This phone has a 5.5 inch Full HD crisp display and Dolby Atmos sound has been given in the phone for better sound. This is the first Moto phone that comes with Dolby Atmos but before this technology has been given in many Lenovo smartphones. We did an Atmos demo in the short time we spent with the unit and we liked both the screen and the speakers. We will give a final decision on the quality of indoor and outdoor photos taken with the Moto M camera only after our detailed review.
The power and volume buttons are on the right side of the phone and there is a fingerprint sensor on the rear. Above this sensor is a camera and flash. The battery is non-removable and has a capacity of 3050 mAh. The phone supports fast charging. The phone supports two nano SIMs but this phone has a hybrid tray which means that you will be able to use two SIMs or one SIM and one microSD card simultaneously.
The phone sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus while the front camera is 8-megapixel. There is also a selfie beautification mode in the phone’s camera app. Moto M is powered by 2.2 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P15 processor. The phone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with no modifications.

Two variants of Moto M will be available for sale – first 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage is priced at Rs 15,999 while 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage is priced at Rs 17,999. If you see the difference in price, then it would be better to buy another variant.
