NASA’s according toThere are a large number of small and big pits on Mars. It may have been formed by the collision of objects on Mars. Belwa crater is also included in those pits. The images captured by the Perseverance rover will provide essential information to NASA’s science team about understanding the Jezero Crater region. NASA has told that the Perseverance Rover took pictures of Belva Crater on 22 April this year. Perseverance was on the west side of Belva Crater when the pictures were taken. The width of this crater is considered to be less than 1 kilometer to 900 meters.
Scientists believe that the large boulders present in this area may be the result of meteorite impacts. There is also a possibility that these boulders may have been brought into this system by a river system that flowed on the planet millions of years ago. Katie Stack Morgan, deputy project scientist for the Perseverance mission, said in a statement that her science team was eager to study the images of Belva Crater.
Recently, NASA’s Curiosity Mars rover took a picture on Mars. This picture was of a rock, which is called Terra Firme. Terra Firme looks like the open pages of a book.
