The car has a 107.8 kWh lithium-ion battery and a set of four motors. It has a motor on each axle. Mercedes says that it offers a range of up to 857 km on a single charge based on ARAI certification. It is the most range electric car in the country. However, in actual conditions its range may be less. It has a maximum power of 523 bhp. It takes around four seconds to accelerate from 0-100 kmph. Its key features include the 56-inch MBUX Hyperscreen. This includes three small screens for passenger display, central infotainment and driver display.

Mercedes assembles the EQS 580 4MATIC EV at its manufacturing plant in Chakan near Pune. Gadkari advised the company that if it sets up units for recycling raw materials, it can reduce the cost of components by at least 30 percent. He told that the Central Government is promoting such units and for this it is important to take steps from the side of the company.
