Poco F5 5G And Poco F5 Pro 5G The smartphones were launched on Tuesday, May 9 in select global markets. The flagship gaming-centric smartphones get top-end Snapdragon chipsets along with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate displays and triple rear camera setups. Of these, the standard Poco F5 5G has also been launched in India, which works on the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC, while the Poco F5 Pro gets the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.

Poco F5 5G price in India, availability

Poco F5 5G is priced at Rs 29,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, while the top-end 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs Rs 33,999. There is also a special introductory offer, selling the base model for Rs 26,999 and the 12GB RAM variant for Rs 30,999. The phone will be available for sale on May 16 via Flipkart. It has been introduced in Carbon Black, Electric Blue and Snowstorm White color options.

The dual (SIM) Poco F5 5G smartphone runs on Android 13 based on MIUI 14 and includes a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED display with up to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate , Equipped with 1920Hz PWM dimming with 93.5 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display is rated to offer 100 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut and also features Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. Protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 is available on the screen. The new Poco handset is powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The onboard memory can be expanded virtually up to 19GB via 7GB of storage.

For thermal management, the Poco F5 5G includes a vapor chamber cooling system with 3725mm square heat dissipation area and 14 layers of graphite sheets.

Talking about the cameras, the triple rear camera setup of the Poco F5 5G gets a 64-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS). The setup also includes an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle sensor and a 2-megapixel macro camera. There is a 16-megapixel selfie camera at the front for selfies and video chats.

Poco has given 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage on the new smartphone. It has an IP53-rated splash-resistant build. Connectivity options on the handset include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Poco F5 5G has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for authentication. It comes with dual stereo speakers equipped with Dolby Atmos support.

Poco F5 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery with 67W turbocharging support. The bundled charger can charge the battery from zero to 100 percent in just 45 minutes, as claimed by the company.
