Smartphones, like any other computing device, require random access memory (RAM) to execute programs. But even this much RAM falls short in high-end devices.
First companies started giving 2 GB RAM in the device, then 3 GB RAM and then 4 GB RAM. Now there are some such handsets also available in the market which are equipped with 6 GB RAM.
This is especially seen in China. Many smartphone maker companies are making this hardware specification a part of their devices. Sadly, these handsets are yet to be launched in India.

Vivo Xplay5 Elite
China’s smartphone maker Vivo is known for doing something new every now and then. It is the world’s first smartphone launch company equipped with 6 GB RAM. The Dual SIM Vivo Xplay 5 Elite is made of Metal body equipped with Gorilla Glass 4 coating. Like the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, the handset sports a dual-curved 5.43-inch (1440×2560 pixels) QuadHD Super AMOLED display. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 2.15GHz. The Vernee Apollo smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch QHD display with Force Touch. The inbuilt storage of the phone is 128 GB. The handset sports a 21-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX230 sensor. The front camera is of 8 megapixels. The biggest feature of Vernee Apollo is the 6 GB RAM given in it. The latest Helio X20 (MT6797) processor has also been given in the phone.

Le Max 2 sports a 5.7-inch QHD display with (1440×2560 pixels) resolution. The density of the screen is 515 PPI. This phone flagship comes with 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. RAM is 6 GB. Adreno 530 GPU has been given for graphics. The Le Max 2 sports a 21-megapixel Sony sensor rear camera with dual-tone LED flash. There is an 8 megapixel front camera. The 3100 mAh battery given in the phone supports Qualcomm Quick Charging 3.0 technology.
Zuk Z2 Pro
Zuk Z2 Pro smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. ZUI 2.0 skin is present on top of it. The handset flaunts a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution Super AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display. It is powered by 2.15 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and integrated Adreno 530 GPU for graphics. It has two variants. One variant comes with 6 GB RAM and 128 inbuilt storage.
