It came in the market under the name of Realme X2. It has been launched in the market in response to Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 8 Pro, which is the most powerful phone in the price segment of Rs 20,000 to date. From the name of Realme X2, it appears that it is a variant of Realme X2 Pro. but it’s not like that. This is the powerful avatar of Reality XT.

Realme X2 price of Realme XT ,review) is around. But it has a more powerful processor, faster charging and a higher resolution front camera. On paper it looks like an upgrade. But the most attractive feature is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor which is for the gaming enthusiasts. This processor is claimed to give better graphics performance than the Snapdragon 730. In performance, it is even better than Snapdragon 710 and Snapdragon 712. Reality X2 is the first smartphone in its segment to come with this processor. If you are one of those people who are looking for a great smartphone under Rs 20,000, then the question in your mind is whether the Realme X2 is worth buying? Let’s find out…

Realme X2 design

The design of the Realme X2 is very similar to the Realme XT, but not Realme X2 Pro as. If both the phones are put together then it is very difficult to differentiate between them. If you take the Pearl Green variant then it is very different. Because this color variant has come till now only for Reality X2. The color trim gets a glossy frame while the rest of the color variants come with a matte finish. The build quality and finish are excellent. The phone does not slip much.
The screen is quite big. In such a situation, it is not an easy task to always use the phone with one hand. Button position is good. At the same time, the position of the ports is the same as that of the old Realme phone. The speaker, USB Type-C port and headphone socket are on the bottom. Realme X2 has support for microSD card. Apart from this, there are two nano SIM slots.

We have also got the 6.4-inch full-HD + (1080×2340 pixels) display given in the smartphone in Reality XT. It is a Super AMOLED panel and has an in-display fingerprint sensor. There is Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection on the display. Reality has given this glass on the back side. The camera layout of the Realme X2 is similar to that of the Realme XT. Which is quite uplifting. But the cover given in the retail box removes this shortcoming.

The contents of the box are the same. You’ll find a SIM eject tool, a USB Type-C cable, a cover, and a fast charger. This Realme phone supports VOOC Flash Charge 4.0. That is, 30 Watt fast charging. If seen, this is the same Warp Charge 30T charger which is new. oneplus 7t Comes with series phones. Actually, we OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition When I used Realme’s charger, the phone identified it as a warp charger.

Realme X2 price, specifications and software

The most attractive feature of Reality X2 is the processor. It has Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G processor which gives us Samsung Galaxy A80 And Oppo Reno 2 As seen in the phone. Both the phones cost more than Rs 30,000. In such a situation, keeping the price of the phone less than Rs 20,000 is an achievement for the company.

Three variants of Realme X2 have been launched in India – 4 GB RAM with 64 GB storage (Rs 16,999), 6 GB RAM with 128 GB storage (Rs 17,999) and 8 GB RAM with 128 GB storage (Rs 19,999). All variants use LPDDR4X RAM. Connectivity features include dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5, three satellite navigation systems and common sensors.

Realme X2 comes with ColorOS 6.1. The review unit had the October 2019 security patch. Hopefully the company will give an update soon. We have also been introduced to the Realme X2 Pro with software features. You will get Google’s Digital Wellbeing feature, system wide dark mode and many gestures and shortcuts. Many apps are already installed. Of these, only third-party can be removed. We have told you about these features Realme X2 Pro, Realme 5 Pro And Realme XT Explained in detail in the review.

Realme X2 performance and Battery life

We got the 8 GB model of Reality X2 for review. As expected, Android ran very smoothly. The in-display fingerprint sensor makes authentication very fast. You’ll find a few different animation styles for the fingerprint position indicator. Face recognition also works well and you will be able to use it even in low light. There’s no notification LED, but you can get information about tasks like time and alerts through the always-on display.

We did not get any complaints about the phone getting hot. The back of the phone did not heat up even after using the camera for a long time in outdoor. Reality X2 gave solid performance in gaming. We played games with powerful graphics like PUBG Mobile, Asphalt 9: Legends and Arena of Valor for testing. It ran very smoothly and the phone did not get too hot. The phone also got good scores in the benchmark test.

The performance of Reality X2 is also good in terms of audio quality. It has only one speaker. But it comes with Dolby Atmos enhancements. This gives a boost to the mid-range and low frequencies. There is nothing more fun than watching videos on the big screen. This is due to punchy colors, excellent viewing angles and satisfactory brightness.

Despite using a lot, Reality X2 supported for about a day after full charge. Its battery is of 4,000 mAh. This phone did not give very good results in the HD video loop test. In the test, Reality X2 died in 13 hours 11 minutes.

Charging speed was commendable. We were able to charge the Realme X2 from zero to 60 percent in just half an hour. It took an hour to charge the phone to 95 percent. This is possible due to the VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 feature and the 30W charger provided in the retail box.

Realme X2 cameras

You will get a 32-megapixel selfie camera in Reality X2. Its aperture is F / 2.0. The camera shoots common selfies in native resolution. But in portrait mode, the pixels bind to 8 megapixels.

Using the front camera in good light, we found that the image quality was excellent. There was no shortage of details. Colors came out accurate and exposure was generally balanced. We found HDR to work well even when shooting in contrasting lighting conditions. Our face and background were exposed well. Selfies came of very average quality in low light. Noises were clearly visible in the pictures and there was a lack of detail.

realme

It is possible to use Nightscape mode from the selfie camera in Realme X2. It fixes the exposure in low light areas. But work is needed beyond this. The screen flash is bright and proves to be effective in lighting up the face.

With Realme X2 you will be able to shoot selfie videos of 1080 pixels. The details were captured well in good light. Colors came natural. Videos come stabilized. But the electronic stabilization caused some distortion. You can’t turn it off. There is a new bokeh mode for selfie videos. It works well even if there are two faces in the frame. It shows you background blur effect in real time. Selfie videos are not the best recorded in low light. But Artificial Lightning records satisfactory videos.

The rear camera setup in this is the same as that of Reality XT. You will get 64 megapixel primary camera, with f / 1.8 aperture. Apart from this, there is also an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The camera app has the same features that we have got in Reality X2 Pro as well. You will also be able to shoot videos with the wide-angle camera. There is also an ‘Ultra Steady’ shooting mode. You can also set the level of blur during portrait shoots and videos.

Realme has talked about giving ‘Super Nightscape Portrait’ shooting mode which will be available in future through software updates. As the name suggests, this feature will allow Nightscape mode to be used in portrait shots. Hope the feature turns out to be interesting.

The 64 megapixel primary camera takes 16 megapixel pictures by default. Image quality was excellent during testing. The edges of the objects came out sharp and perfectly defined. There was no shortage of detail and HDR did the right thing. There was a little noise at the edge of every frame. But it comes out only on zooming in. Occasionally there was a problem with autofocus with close up objects. But it was not so every time.

We were also satisfied with the results in Portrait Mode. The depth camera detected the edges well. There was no shortage of sharpness and detail on our subject’s face. The macro camera is useful. But the details don’t always come out great. Apart from this, you will need enough light for good shots. The wide-angle camera was also useful. Barrel distortion was not too visible. Details and colors were good. But it cannot be compared with the performance of the primary camera. The sensor is not very useful in low light. The details were very poor. Exposure was poor, even when it was a nightscape.

We found that the video quality of 1080 pixels at 20 frames per second was the best with the primary camera. Electronic stabilization worked fine. There was no shimmer in the video recording output while running in daylight. With Reality X2 you will also be able to shoot 4K videos. But without stabilization. The ‘Ultra Steady’ mode showed us a very smooth video in the viewfinder, but there was a noticeable jerk in the recorded video. There was a noticeable grain in the dark area in low light.

Verdict
realme x2 really Realme XT leads to success. This is another great all-rounder smartphone under Rs 20,000. realme XT in today’s date or Realme X It is a better decision to buy it instead of (Review). Because by spending a little more money, you get the software of Reality X2 Pro and also the hardware upgrade. Reality X2 has Dewdrop Notch. If this design does not suit you, then you can go for the Realme X which comes with a notch design and has a pop-up selfie camera.

Video quality could be a bit better in low light. There is no FM radio, which was part of the Realme XT. Apart from this, you get good display, great battery life, fast charging, capable cameras and strong gaming performance. Even if you are not a fan of gaming, then Realme X2 is the best phone of Realme to be found in less than Rs 20,000.
