Redmi A2, Redmi A2+ With 5,000mAh Battery Launched in India, Rs 5,999 Starting Price

Chinese smartphone maker Redmi on Friday launched the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ smartphones in India. These affordable smartphones have a 5,000 mAh battery. Their sale will start from May 23. These smartphones of Xiaomi’s sub-brand can be purchased through Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores and Xiaomi’s retail partners.

The price of Redmi A2’s 2 GB RAM and 32 GB storage variant is Rs 5,999. Apart from this, Rs 6,499 has been kept for 2GB RAM + 64GB storage variant and Rs 7,499 for 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The company has fixed the price of the only 4GB RAM + 64GB variant of Redmi A2+ at Rs 8,499. These smartphones Can be purchased in Black, Light Green and Light Blue colours. Redmi is offering Rs 500 cashback on purchasing these handsets using ICICI Bank cards. Two years warranty is also being given with them.

These dual sim smartphones run on Android 13. It features a 6.52-inch HD+ (1,600 x 720 pixels) LCD screen with 120Hz touch sampling rate. MediaTek Helio G36 SoC and up to 4 GB of RAM have been given in these smartphones. The available memory can be expanded up to 7 GB with Virtual RAM. It has a dual rear camera unit with AI support. It has an 8 megapixel primary sensor and a QVGA camera. A 5-megapixel camera has been given on the front for selfie and video chat. Both these smartphones pack 64GB of storage that can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card. For connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3.5mm headphone jack are available in them.

A fingerprint scanner is also available for security in Redmi A2+. The 5,000 mAh battery of these smartphones supports 10 W fast charging. Earlier this month, the company launched the Redmi Note 12S in three color variants – Ice Blue, Pearl Green, and Onyx Black. It has been made available only in Poland and comes in two storage variants – 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB.
