Samsung has launched its latest external storage device, the T7 Shield Portable Solid State Drive (PSSD). The company said that it is a USB Type C PSSD which is a credit card size device. It gives fast data transfer speed. The device is said to be shock resistant and can withstand a drop of up to three meters. It has also got IP65 certification. It comes in PSSD rugged design and can be bought in three color options. It can be purchased from online and offline electronic stores across the country.

Samsung T7 Shield PSSD is priced at Rs 12,999 for the 1TB storage variant and Rs 22,999 for the 2TB storage variant. The device can be purchased from Samsung’s official online and retail stores as well as other consumer electronics stores. It comes in three color options – Beige, Black and Blue. Its 1TB storage variant costs $143.99 (roughly Rs. 11,040) in the US and $260.99 (roughly Rs. 20,000) for the 2TB storage variant.

The Samsung T7 Shield PSSD has a read speed of 1500MBps and a write speed of 1000MBps. The T7 Shield sports a rugged design and comes with Samsung Portable SSD 1.06 and Samsung Magician Software. With its help, it gets very little hot. The device is cross platform compatible and can store large data on Windows PC, Mac, Android smartphone or even game console. It has AES 256 bit hardware encryption which keeps user data safe even when the device is lost.
