Smartphones under Rs 8,000 (Nov 2020)

You won’t find very powerful smartphones under Rs 8,000, but there have been some smartphones launched in this range in the recent past, which can handle your day-to-day tasks comfortably. Although many smartphones were included in this segment earlier, but due to the increase in GST rate in the last few months, the prices of many smartphones have seen a jump. However, those looking for a mobile phone under Rs 8,000 still need not despair. Poco C3, Redmi 8A Dual and Realme C11 are such smartphones, which will give you good value for the price. Let us tell you that these three smartphones have gone through the tests of Gadgets 360 and they have got better scores than other mobile phones under Rs 8,000. So let’s take a look at the best smartphones under 8 thousand without delay.

Poco C3

Poco C3 There is a recent entry in this segment. Although this phone did not perform well in most of our tests, but it impressed us a lot in terms of battery life. The Poco C3 packs a 5,000mAh battery, which lasted about two days in everyday use. It takes a long time to charge, but considering the great battery life, you might not need to charge it every day. The Poco C3 is quite slim and well built. The display is large, however, making it a bit difficult to use under direct sunlight as the maximum brightness is low.
The Poco C3 performs well and the good thing is that its base variant comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, which costs Rs 7,499. There’s also a 4GB variant, which offers 64GB of storage, priced at Rs 8,999, but it’s not the best value in our opinion.

The MIUI 12 software currently doesn’t show ads on the Poco C3, which is great news and it performs well considering its price. You get three rear cameras, which do a decent job on average, provided you use the sensor in enough light.

Realme C11

Realme C11 Poco is a good alternative to the C3, as it shares many of its features. The main attraction of this phone is the big display and long battery life. Realme C11 is well built. The 5,000mAh battery delivers great battery life, which can comfortably last you several days before needing a charge.

Reality C11 is only available in 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. The low amount of RAM makes the custom skin of realme sluggish. If you’re shooting in low light, the cameras do an average job. Just like the Poco C3, the Realme C11 lacks a fingerprint sensor, but you do get face unlock. Despite the average performance, it’s still a decent phone at this price.

Redmi 8A Dual

redmi 8a dual Well designed and its build quality is also very good. This phone comes with a 6.22-inch HD + display, which has a waterdrop style notch. At this price, the Redmi 8A Dual gets a USB Type-C port, which is not available in other competing smartphones. Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset is available in the smartphone. Xiaomi sells two variants of the device, one with 2GB of RAM and the other with 3GB. Both have 32 GB of storage, which users can expand via microSD card. The phone comes with a dual rear camera setup, which is average and can take some decent pictures during day time.

Redmi has given a 5,000mAh battery in this smartphone, which comes with 18W fast charging support. However, a charger with standard charging output is available in its box. You have to buy the fast charger separately. The price of the phone starts from Rs 6,999.
