This exoplanet is known as LP 791-18 d (LP 791-18 d), which is located in the Crater constellation about 90 light-years away from Earth. ‘LP 791-18 d’ orbits a red dwarf star. The special thing is that there is always light in one part of this planet, while there is always darkness in one part.
US space agency NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory In conversation with the scientists said that there is no possibility of water in the bright part of the planet. However, there is volcanic activity throughout the planet, which may indicate the presence of water in the dark side of the planet.
Scientists say that there is a whole system named ‘LP 791-18’, in which two more planets LP 791-18b and LP 791-18c are also present. The planet named LP 791-18c is two and a half times bigger than Earth. It also affects the orbit of LP 791-18 d, causing volcanic activity in the planet. However, it is yet to be known how much life is possible in the planet. The team of scientists who discovered LP 791-18 d feel that this planet will be included in those exoplanets where further research is needed.
