Vi users will now be able to watch movies and shows on rent, a new service introduced in partnership with Hungama

Vi (Vodafone Idea) on Monday announced its partnership with Hungama Digital Media Entertainment, with which the company has launched premium Video on Demand (PVoD) service on its Vi Movies and TV app. After this new tie-up, Vi subscribers can watch any movie or show on rent for up to 48 hours. Let us tell you, the Vi Movies and TV app also includes the option to cast movies to the big screen. Which means that apart from watching movies on their smartphones under the pay-per-view model, Vi subscribers can also watch their favorite movies on the TV screen.

After this new announcement of Vi, users will get access to more than 380 movies. These include one of the most popular science-fiction films of 2020, Tenet, which released globally in August last year while it was launched in India in the month of December.

Apart from English movies, the PVoD service offered by Vi and Hungama also includes three Indian languages… Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Along with Tenet, you can watch other popular movies of 2020 under this service for 48 hours, for which you will have to pay Rs.120. However, the rest of the movies are also available for Rs.60.

Some of the movies that will be available through Vi and Hungama’s partnership include Aquaman, Birds of Prey, Joker and Scoob, in addition to Tenet and others.

The PVoD model will be available alongside the existing entertainment offerings on the Vi Movies and TV app. However, unlike the latest model, the entertainment recharge pack and postpaid plans are available for free.
