New Delhi. Volvo Cars India has launched its new range of petrol mild hybrid cars in India. The new 2023 lineup includes the company’s popular compact luxury SUV XC40, luxury sedan S90, best-selling XC60 and the company’s flagship luxury SUV XC90.
Swedish luxury vehicle company Volvo has switched all its vehicles in the domestic market to ‘mild hybrid’ petrol. Volvo Car India Head Jyoti Malhotra gave this information and said that the company has taken this step as part of its plan to convert all cars to electric by 2030.

What is Mild Hybrid?
A mild hybrid is a conventional petrol or diesel engine, consisting of a low voltage battery and an electric motor. It is commonly used to power electrical devices such as ACs and radios. Its biggest advantage is that it increases the mileage of the car significantly. In this episode, the company on Wednesday launched the category of its petrol mild-hybrid cars. After launching these vehicles, the company has completed the process of converting its vehicles to petrol mild-hybrid.

The new petrol mild-hybrid Volvo XC40 is priced at Rs 45.90 lakh ex-showroom. However, it can be bought ex-showroom for Rs 43.20 lakh with a limited time festive offer. Prices of the new petrol mild-hybrid XC90 start at Rs.94,90,000 ex-showroom. The new petrol mild-hybrid Volvo S90 is priced at Rs 66,90,000 ex-showroom and the new petrol mild-hybrid Volvo XC60 is priced at Rs 65,90,000 ex-showroom.

Customers can also take service packages
Apart from this, customers buying 2023 petrol mild-hybrid model cars can buy a 3-year Volvo service package as an option by paying just Rs 75,000. Volvo made its India debut in 2007. Volvo Cars currently markets the products through 25 dealerships across the country.
