In a global outage that impacts Teams, Microsoft has pinpointed the cause.
Australian and New Zealand Teams users reported issues, as did users in most of Asean.
A Microsoft Teams issue has affected users globally and in Singapore beginning as early as 9am on Thursday, causing them to be unable to access it.
According to the company, a recent update ended up breaking a connection to internal storage.
Over 3,200 users were affected in Singapore at 9.49am according to Downdetector.com, which aggregates status reports and user complaints.
More than 4,800 Americans and 18,200 Japanese were affected around the same time.
People reported over 2,000 incidents of Microsoft Teams problems on the website.
Twitter account for Microsoft 365 Status, the company states that “we received reports of users being unable to access Microsoft Teams or leverage any features”.
At 10AM, over 4800 users reported having trouble accessing the service, according to outage tracking website Downdetector.
