GM Recalls Nearly 500K Suvs Over Manufacturing Issue

General Motors received seven additional reports from October 2020 through June 2022.

Ford Motor Company said ZF Passive Safety US Inc supplied side curtain airbags that may not meet federal safety standards.

There are 64,974 Maverick pickup trucks called back stateside.

A meeting between GM Occupant Safety Systems and ZF Occupant Safety met on July 11th.

There was no choice for the Safety Field Action Decision Authority on August 4th but to recall the vehicle.

The recall affects 484,155 full-size SUVs, of which 2% exhibit the defect.

Affected vehicles include both 2021 and 2022 models made between November 11th, 2019 and May 27th, 2019.

New third-row seatbelt buckles will be mailed to owners on September 26th.
