Jeep Recalls Gladiator Over Transmission Problems

Third-largest US automaker investigates Jeep Gladiator 2022 model.

Several pickups released from FCA US LLC with suspect automatic transmissions were found in traceability records.

Approximately eleven units were reported to NHTSA.

Some vehicles may have 8HP75 automatic transmissions with improperly crimped parking wheels.

Under license from ZF Friedrichshafen, FCA US LLC produces the 850RE and the 8HP75 in Kokomo.

Symptoms include changing how the Gladiator feels under power, weird noises, and/or diagnostic trouble codes.

Gladiators can be equipped with the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 or the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 if you choose the 850RE option.

For the 8HP75 automatic, Jeep adds $2,500 to the price rather than including it in the turbo diesel.
