Mac Motorcycles will start taking orders in the fall for their 600cc single-cylinder neo-retro cafe racer, the Ruby.

Ex-motocrossers, trials riders, and classic collectors all contribute to the creation of the Ruby.

This 'bare-bones' design combines off-road utility with classic curves of a neo-retro cafe racer with a neo-retro aesthetic.

There are four valves in its 600cc single cylinder DOHC four-stroke engine, and its bore and stroke are 100mm x 76.4mm.

To refer back to the 1960s period of inspiration, Mac also gives the measurements in imperial units.

A six-speed transmission, 1.8-liter wet sump, hydraulic clutch, and an electric start make this engine stand out.

This engine is capable of 52 horsepower at the crank, and a triangular swingarm connects it to the 17-inch rear wheel.

The top speed is expected to be around 100 mph, according to Mac Motorcycles.

Registration for the Ruby is now open on Mac Motorcycles' website, as they will begin accepting orders in the autumn.
