New UK reports shed more light on one of Alfa Romeo's large EVs in a quest to move upmarket.

Audi A6 e-tron, BMW i5, and Mercedes-Benz EQE will compete with the new crossover sedan in the US by 2027.

A traditional three-box sedan bodystyle will not limit the styling, as Jean Philippe Imparato hinted.

A larger STLA Large architecture is expected to give Alfa Romeo designers more space to work with.

The platform would have powerful dual motors, a large battery, and a chassis setup unique to Alfa Romeo.

Alfa Romeo's new model is set to launch in the US in 2027, and other markets will follow shortly after.

Imparato said they would be selling it all over the world, although the primary focus was North America.

As well as the Giulia and the larger sedan-style model, Alfa Romeo will also release a number of SUVs.
