According to the report of a news agency, it is said that this ring of size 2 to 3 meters, which weighs about 40 kg, was found late on Saturday night in a field in a village in Maharashtra. District Collector Ajay Gulhane told a news agency that the size of the ring is 6.5-10 feet.
It is said that this ring has been found in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra. According to media reports, preparations were being made for a feast in the area where the ring was found. Then a red ring shining in the sky fell on an open place in the village and there was a blast. Fearing the blast, the local people went to their homes and came out after half an hour. It is said that the metal sphere of about half a meter size fell in another village of Chandrapur district itself.
These things have been collected. Local officials have been asked to ascertain whether anything else has fallen from the sky. There is currently no information about any damage due to the ring and shells.
An official of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) says that the re-entry of the Chinese rocket launched in February 2021 was a ‘close match’ on Saturday. When the rocket’s bodies survive re-entry into the atmosphere, the remaining parts such as the nozzle, rings and tanks can impact the Earth.
Space-watcher Jonathan McDowell of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics tweeted that the ring was part of China’s 3B rocket. Such things create a lot of heat and friction when they enter the atmosphere. This can burn them. But big things don’t get destroyed completely.
