1. Moto G5 (3GB)
Launched in February, the Moto G5 (3GB RAM variant) is a great value-for-money option in the under Rs 15,000 category. The phone’s software is great and acts like a great all-rounder in every department.
Talking about the most important feature of the phone, getting free backup of full-resolution photos through Google Photos for two years. Apart from this, the lightweight and convenient design of the phone is also its main selling point. The phone heats up a bit which is not good.
2. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4
Like its smaller variant, the Redmi 4, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is a great budget smartphone. The phone has been launched at a very affordable price. The battery performance of the smartphone is great and the overall performance is also good.
Camera is the weakest feature of this smartphone and we get to see this deficiency in most of the budget smartphones. But the rest of it makes the phone a great device and one of our top picks for the price.
3. Honor 6X
Launched in January, the Honor 6X is a decent all-rounder with some really cool features that make it a strong option at this price. Camera performance is its weakness, but it’s neither too bad nor too great.
On the other hand, the build quality and performance of the phone is decent. The display is bright and the battery life is also long. The fingerprint sensor given in the phone is reliable and the phone has 5.5 inch full HD display, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB inbuilt storage and 3340 mAh battery.
4. Lenovo P2
A powerful smartphone at an affordable price, the Lenovo P2 offers decent performance and great battery life. It is a great value for money option and most importantly the metal body gives a premium feel.
With its history as a dedicated battery smartphone, the Lenovo P2 smartphone continues this tradition. The phone feels heavy due to the fast charging support and the large battery, but with the large 5100 mAh battery, many will love this phone. Overall, it is a very strong option for under Rs 15,000.
5. Lenovo Z2 Plus
Lenovo’s second phone which is included in this list is Lenovo Z2 Plus. Lenovo Z2 Plus performs brilliantly in every department except the camera. This smartphone is good to see and this Lenovo phone offers long battery life.
With good overall performance and great software tweaks, this affordable handset is a good choice in the under Rs 15,000 category. But the phone doesn’t come with a fast-charger and it doesn’t support expandable storage. This can be a problem for some people.
6. Coolpad Max
Although, the Coolpad Max is a bit old, but we have included this phone in this list because the phone has become affordable due to the low price. The premium metal body and good camera performance make this phone definitely worth buying.
The custom software is a bit of a letdown, but the phone has a decent battery and great performance. Which makes it a better option for less than Rs 15,000.
7. Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime
Launched at Rs 20,000, the price of Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime has now dropped to less than Rs 15,000. Due to which this phone also joins the list of less than Rs 15,000. The phone has great specifications and looks good too, so it is definitely a good choice.
On the flip side, the fingerprint sensor is sometimes not accurate and the camera performance in low light is disappointing. The screen of the phone is great and the battery life is also good. So if the Samsung’s design is great, it’s a strong choice.
Bonus
The Honor 8 Lite was launched in January and is a good option for under Rs 15,000 if design and cameras are what you are looking for.
