Xiaomi 13 Ultra was launched in China on Tuesday. It is equipped with Leica-tuned cameras with high-end custom Summicron lenses. Xiaomi and Leica entered into a longstanding partnership earlier this year to optimize image quality. Xiaomi 13 Ultra Also comes with a ‘hibernation’ mode, which claims to optimize battery usage when the device has only 1 percent battery left.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra has been introduced in Black, White and Green color variants and comes in three storage configurations. Its base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB inbuilt storage costs CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs. 71,600) in China, while the mid-range 16GB + 512GB RAM and storage variant costs CNY 6,499 (roughly Rs. 77,500). On the other hand, the top-of-the-line 16GB + 1TB variant is priced at CNY 7,299 (roughly Rs. 87,000).

Xiaomi has not yet revealed plans to launch the Xiaomi 13 Ultra in markets outside China, including India.

Xiaomi The flagship comes with dual-SIM (Nano) support and includes a 6.73-inch AMOLED WQHD+ (3,200 x 1,440) display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate, and 1,300 nits brightness level. It runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra gets a 4nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, paired with Adreno 740 GPU, up to 16GB of LPPDR5X RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

Its rear camera unit includes a Leica-tuned quad camera setup that includes a 50-megapixel 1-inch IMX989 sensor and three 50-megapixel IMX858 sensors. The cameras offer six different focal lenses and come with Summicron lenses optimized by Leica.

It gets a 32-megapixel front camera, which is fitted into the hole-punch cutout on the top set of the display. The camera settings also include a Fast Shot mode, designed for street photography. The mode helps the user to click a photo within 0.8 seconds.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra packs a 5,000mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support. The wired fast charging solution is claimed to fully charge the handset in 34 minutes.

The company has also given hibernation mode in the device. It is activated when only 1 percent of the battery is left in the phone. It claims to give the phone 60 minutes of on-time and 12 minutes of talk time. According to the company, the phone has been given an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.
