xiaomi The Redmi series has received a lot of buzz in the last few years due to its great features in time. Due to the low price and better features, the Redmi model became the most special and other Chinese companies could hardly compete with them. Perhaps due to this competition, you can now buy a lot of budget smartphones with great features in the market as compared to a few years ago.

After strong components and low price, now manufacturers have started focusing on the design, look and premium of the device to attract the customers. Now companies are using metal body instead of plastic in smartphones. recently launched Honor 5X And LE Eco LE OneS The metal body was also given in it. coolpad note 3 With the 3 GB RAM provided in the smartphone, now fingerprint sensor is also being given as a special feature in these budget smartphones.

The special thing is that after the Redmi 2 series, Xiaomi has now redmi note 3 Launched at just the right time. First glimpse of this smartphone in December It was seen, however, the MediaTek processor was given in the original variant of the phone, whereas launched in india Redmi Note 3 has Qualcomm chipset. xiaomi redmi note 2 prime Like the Redmi Note 3 will also be a Made in India smartphone.

Two biggest rivals of Redmi Note 3 lenovo vibe k4 note and LECO’s LE OneS Huh. Will this Xiaomi smartphone be able to make its presence felt in the smartphone category below 15,000? Let’s see what we saw in the review of this phone.

look and design
Redmi Note 3 is very beautiful to look at and in gold color it gives you the feel of a premium smartphone. Made entirely of metal body, this phone has been given a matte finish. It is also easy to keep this smartphone clean by easily removing dust and dirt.

The front side of the smartphone has a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display. The touch design of the display is good but it feels a bit strange on the ear while making calls. The display is equipped with a scratch resistant layer. At the top is a 5-megapixel camera with a notification LED for alerts. It’s nice to have a backlight in the capacitive button at the bottom. On the right are the volume and power buttons, while the hybrid dual-SIM tray is given on the left. There is also an infrared (IR) ammeter along with the headphone socket at the top. The standard Micro-USB connector can be used in the smartphone for data transfer and charging.

At the back, there is a speaker grille at the bottom along with fingerprint sensor, dual LED flash and 16-megapixel camera. You will get the Redmi Note 3 with 10W charger, data cable, SIM projector tool and instruction leaflet. During the review, we found the quality of the accessory to be good and hope it goes well with you.

We think that Xiaomi has made the design of this phone very well. The finish of the phone is superb and the display is also very clean and bright. Colors come out perfectly in the IPS panel. Xiaomi’s Sunlight Display hardware feature has been given in Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, so that you can easily see the screen even in sunlight.

It is convenient to hold the phone in hand. Although using the phone with one hand can be a bit difficult, but it is only 8.7 mm thin and very light.

Even though the price of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 budget smartphone is low, but the hardware given in this phone is not less than any premium smartphone. This is the first phone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor. Like the Snapdragon 808, the Moto X Style was powered by a hexa-core processor, but instead of the Cortex-A57, it had a Cortex-A72 clocked at 1.8GHz. The other four cores are Cortex A-53 clocked at 1.4 GHz. However, the phone has a new Andreno 510 GPU for graphics.

Redmi Note 3 will be available in two variants. We have 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage variant for review but if your budget is less then you can choose 2 GB RAM 16 GB storage variant for Rs 9,999. The storage of this variant can be increased up to 32 GB with the help of microSD card instead of the second SIM card in the hybrid SIM slot. Nowadays, where most phones have storage support of up to 128 GB or more, the Redmi Note 3 lags a little behind there.

Equipped with Qualcomm chipset, this phone has Category 7LTE feature for 3, 5, 40 and 41 bands with VoLTE support. Along with this, there is also dual-band Wi-Fi b / g / n / ac, Bluetooth 4.1, USB OTG, FM radio, Miracast, GLONASS. NFC feature is not provided in this phone.

The phone comes with Android Lollipop fork called MIUI 7. MIUI 7 is definitely much better than the old version 4 of MIUI. It has a single layer interface but users can customize it with transition effects and themes.

Wallpaper scroll feature has been given in the lock screen of the phone, which keeps showing different wallpapers from the collection selected by the user. There is also a light mode for a simple and simple interface. Along with this, there is also a child mode to control the children on the application.

The fingerprint sensor can recognize up to 5 fingerprints. Xiaomi’s Vice President Hugo Barra had said during the phone launch that you can also record your lip pattern in the phone but we failed while trying to do so.

Apart from this, you can get up to 5 GB of cloud storage for your contacts, messages, pictures, etc. by signing up for a Mi account. Using the Explorer app, you can also take the help of fingerprint sensor authentication to hide your private chats, messages.

The Mi Mover application comes pre-installed in the phone, with the help of which you can transfer apps and data from any other Android device. MIUI 7 supports 13 Indic languages.

The hardware and software of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 together give you an immersive experience. We did not see any problem in the interface during multitasking. The call quality of the phone is good.

Stability was observed during our review except that the phone rebooted several times during the benchmark test. The phone does not heat up nor does it feel uncomfortable during continuous video playback and video recording.

The bad thing that we noticed is that it takes a lot of time for two sims to work together. We did not get to see this problem during single sim but when we put the second sim in the phone, it took a long time to detect it. At that time we got to see ‘No Service’ message for more than 10 minutes. We didn’t get any help even after rebooting the phone. If you change most of the SIM in the phone then it can be a problem for you otherwise it will not make any difference to you. The fingerprint sensor works well in the phone and it runs fast even when the phone’s lock is opened.

The Redmi Note 3 is a great phone for multimedia due to its crisp display. Audio speaker is good. The music player works well and you can switch between two different audio profiles using two different earphones. With Mi Drop, you can share media instantly to other Xiaomi devices. In the 32 GB version, users will be able to use only 26.2 GB.

The Redmi Note 3 smartphone has a 16-megapixel sensor camera with a wide F / 2.0 aperture. We were able to capture good detail in landscape and macro shots in daylight. Color reproduction is also good. However, there was not much sharpness when the object was zoomed too much in focus. The pictures looked very good in the phone’s display.

Even during artificial lighting, there was some problem in sharpness and depth in the pictures taken with the camera. Photos are not too bad even in low-light. The dual tone LED flash works well for nearby objects but don’t expect too much from it. 1080p video recording is good but due to no stabilization software in the video recording, stability was not visible. The front camera takes good selfies in daylight with wide f/2.0 aperture.

battery life
With the 4050 mAh battery given in the phone, we could play videos continuously for 12 hours and 21 minutes. The battery of the phone lasted for more than a day without turning on the battery saving mode. The phone is equipped with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge feature but we were able to charge the Redmi Note 3 only 20 percent in half an hour. We wouldn’t call it super quick charge but it’s better to have something than nothing.

our decision
The price of 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage variant of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is Rs 9,999 and the price of 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage is Rs 11,999. Having all these specifications at this price makes it very special. Xiaomi has partnered with ‘Hungama’ for a streaming service of 2 months free subscription to the users.

It is very difficult to fix anything wrong with Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. The metal body and fingerprint sensor given in the Redmi Note 3 launched in 2016 have been given for the first time in a Xiaomi device. The phone has a display, strong battery and processor. The camera is also not bad, however, the sharpness of its pictures and HD quality videos could have been better. We could have expected the phone to have more than 32GB of storage and with NFC support, it could have turned out to be a complete package phone.

Keeping a few things aside, we feel that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 can easily fit into the best smartphone under Rs 15,000 available in the market today. If you want to choose between Redmi Note 3 and LE OneS then definitely our vote will go to Redmi Note 3.
